Food Trip : Digman Halo Halo in Cavite

After craving for a dessert and since it's summer,i decided to go to the famous Digman halo-halo in Bacoor,Cavite & after hearing some good news about this scrumptious halo halo dessert i can't wait to taste it by myself.

I got there by 8pm from paranaque city,Ordered Siopao, tokwa't baboy,bbq and palabok.Yes you read it right ALL OF IT! Haha :)

There are several Digman Halo halo in that brgy. but of course i chose the first one that caught my eye and the Authentic one. The place and the people are good,its a bit late so the floor is a bit dirty bec.of people whose coming in and out of the place. its a bit small but a good one for a dessert bar.

They also have memorabilia's in the store from artist & reporters who came in to visit the place.

 All in all the food is great esp.the palabok the flavors are really melting in my mouth and off course the halo halo itself.The price is cheap for a great delish dessert! Sorry can't remember the prices i enjoyed eating so i forgot to take a note. The only recommendation would be better ventilation no more no less :)

REVIEW : MUA Pro Brow Ultimate Eyebrow kit

I'm really not an "eyebrow person" what i mean is i care less,even though my brow looks uneven and messy i still don't mind it because i'm more concern on my under eye circles or how it will look like because it's my imperfection that i hate the most. Later on i started envying girls with nice brows it really can change how you look like.It's the finishing touch of the face and when you do them it really comes together, it will frame your face and brows have the power to polish your look.

So there i scouted something for eyebrows, luckily i found MakeupHub by NatureleCollezione they have a wide range of cosmetics brand so i asked if they have something for brows,they recommended the MUA Pro Brow Ultimate Eyebrow kit,mua is a brand from united kingdom which makes it more awesome.

Price : PHP 380.00 , Comes with three shades , brow wax, brush and mini tweezers. Light shades can be use as highlighters too.I actually tried using the brow wax and a blue eyshadow for my brows,Good thing it works best haha. So here i have a few left on my kit.Experimenting at it's finest lol.

FYI not me. Tried using it in someone else s brows,i have a thick eyebrow so im still working on it. 

It really works awesome! 

What i like about it:

• Easy to apply
• Affordable at PHP 380.00
• Comes in three shades
• Not a typical brand
• Sits well on your brows
• Lasting power is okay ( i am not sure on a 12hr or a long day of use)
• Lightweight and easy to carry
• Fills in your brows perfectly

Rate would be 9/10,perfect for everyone whose in need of affordable and quality brow kit.I might repurchase soon :)

REVIEW : Careline Oil Control Blush-on in Touch of Pink

Just want to make this a little bit short.I actually bought something on walter mart when i passed by careline's station,it caught my eye, i find it fresh and i thought this might fit my skin tone. I love how drugstore brands like this one can be bought in a very affordable price. I love bargain buys so much,affordable products which quality are good. Who doesn't anyway? :)

For this one packaging and price is okay.Got this for 90php at walter mart,I like blushies with a mirror on it cause' i'm a go to person,i sometimes put anything that i can pick whenever i'm in a hurry on my beauty kit,and i'm just wondering why they put a sponge rather than a blush brush. lol

Shade is Touch of Pink it says on the packaging that it's oil control,natural looking blush,,vitamin e enriched,remains oil free all day without drying & stays moisturized without grease all the time. hmmm.

Too bad this shade didnt fit me so well like it's a super no no! feels like i used a light shade of powder on my cheeks.Maybe i chose the wrong shade i got caught by the color that's why. I can't say that i don't like the blush,just have a wrong shade with me i am still giving the other shades a try,i have a morena skin tone so i really have to carefully choose the blush on that i'll be using.

Swatched it and tried it on my cheeks.Looks awful on me,might fit with a lighter skin tone. I literally laughed after seeing this. 

A good buy but for better reviews i might get the other shades as i've said i dont hate and/or like it,might as well try the other ones so i can really see better results.

REVIEW : Ever Bilena Advance HD Concealer Pencil

I just want to make this one short.I am born with dark under eye circles so i always scout for concealers and anything about under eyes that can help me lessen it.So i passed by Sm Department store and noticed ever bilena's hd concealer.Off course when you hear anything incorporated with high definition for sure it's good or so. 

Packaging and money wise it's sealed properly and it's really affordable PHP 100.00 for a hd concealer.

So since it's a matte hd concealer,i am expecting for a full coverage.  That's how it looks when you're blending and spreading it in your eyes.

No makeup. Excuse my zombie eyes |  Left eye is covered already and it looks weird haha. (do i look like an alien because of my headband? my forehead is speaking up haha)

Both eyes are already concealed and sealed it with a foundation powder. Hmm looks better.

Well i'm quite okay yet somewhat disappointed with the quality of this concealer,FYI not all affordable/cheap stuff are not good you can really spot some great quality deals.

What i like about it:

• Lighweight
• Affordable PHP 100.00 (ideal for students)
• Good coverage
• Matte effect,better for oily skin.
• Makes your eyes look glowing
• Packaged properly
• Lightest shade looks good on morena skintone (unike other concealers)
• Coverage is buildable
• Not that creamy (so it's not messy to apply)
• Very handy

What i'm okay bout:

Well i don't literally hate and/or super like it but my concern is the coverage,as per my dark under eyes circles off course i am looking for something has full coverage to hide my imperfections. This one gives a light to moderate coverage and what i noticed is when i'm spreading it out on my under eye the concealer is sort of building (namumuo siya) or maybe because it's too matte and/or dry. Well i can still recommend it for ladies whose not so oc with concealing their eyes and for students because it's really affordable. I can rate it 6/10 though.

I started being curious about this brand,packaging and brand name is very catchy.So i thought to myself why not try it, Mememe cosmetics is owned by Lifestyle Aesthetics, a UK specialist provider of Cosmeceutical, Beauty & Hair Care solutions globally. Now i fully understand why MeMeMe has caught my attention due to their inspiration from Greeks and women of that time.I actually bought a concealer,sun beam,eye shadow trio and a hand lotion from MakeupHOLICS,they actually have an annual sale on a wide range of cosmetics brands.But out of curiosity i tried out some of the mememe products which i got for almost 40-60% off,Yes Bargain buys that we all love! :) 

To be honest i actually expected a little on this,but im really overwhelmed when i tried it. What i have is the one in smokey eyes made up with silver/grey,white and black shade.Fyi these are all shimmer eyshadows that's why i even expected less at first.

Sorry for my groggy eyes and messy hair (well im really curly lol), a bit tired when i did this lol.

What I like about it :

• Packaging is simple yet elegant looking.
• Very pigmented,colors pop out more when you use an eyeshadow primer.
• Not chalky.
• Packaging of eyeshadow is tight (dropped this off twice,good thing it's still intact haha.)
• Perfect for Newbies because all of their trio colors works hand in hand.
• On a budget,Very affordable.(bought it for PHP 125.00 original price is about PHP 350++ from MakeupHOLICS)
• Travel friendly,very handy.
• Dupe for high end brands.
• Easy to apply and eyeshadow is buildable,it's up to you if you want it more vibrant or light, every trio is perfect for a day to night look.
• Lightweight.

What im "OKAY" about :

• Colors in the trio has no division so it's quite challenging picking up the color that you want to use,might mix with others and If this is a single eyeshadow i might not like it haha.

All in all i highly recommend this eyeshadow trio, it is really worth the buy and worth using. If they have higher number of shades i would definitely buy it.

Countouring the Kim Kardashian way!

By the way who is Kim Kardashian? An American television and social media personality, fashion designer, model, and actress. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Kardashian came to prominence after a sex tape with her then-boyfriend Ray J was leaked in 2007. In the same year, she and her family were commissioned to star in the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians. (thanks google!haha)I always watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians i just love seeing kim so simple and carries herself in every situation,yah fan girl here lol. Well enough of the sex tape,i still love her. Any,let's move on to the way she contours her face. A lot of people have been asking her on how she do her makeup, lucky us she uploaded a picture of her with her face looking like mess, yes it's a somewhat weird photo with tons of make up on it and at the back of my mind how the hell it came out very beautiful to her until i tried it on my own.

Can you even imagine how flawless it can get? So here i am trying my version of kim kardashian's way of contouring.

Make-up / Products use ;

Milani Loose Powder used as bronzer, i forgot the shade coz the label has faded out but it is in a very deep brown shade.

Ever Bilena Liquid Foundation in Oriental 

Ever Bilena powder foundation in oriental,Garnier eye brightener & Naked flushed blush.

Liquid Foundation and Contouring brush.

You can off course use your own brand of make ups and brushes which you're comfortable with,for the mineral bronzer you can also use a very dark brown liquid foundation which is 2 to 4 times darker than your shade for you to use. As per Kim Kardashian,she used a deep brown liquid foundation for contouring. I dont have any so i replaced it with milani.

Step 1:

First, you have to fill out your temples using the bronzer, especially the nose line,jaw,forehead and side cheeks. The rest will be for the liquid foundation of your choice. (Sorry bronzer's not that visible because of the quality of the photo) 

Step 2:

Blend it all together,start of with the liquid foundation first and be sure that it is blended well,Use a proper brush for better results.SPONGE IS A NO NO! you might ruin your face with it. After you have blended,follow it up by mixing the part of your face that have bronzer,the contouring part. If you feel like the bronzer is to dark you can just apply a little bit of liquid foundation so it'll be a little bit lighter. Don't forget to blend the nose line part,better if it's not visible :)

Step 3:

Lastly,finish it off with your chosen eyeshadow,blush and lipstick. I chose a very soft smokey eye for my look & used a satin plum shade for my lips.

REVIEW : Celeteque Hydration Moisturizer

This is my second blog and im reviewing about Celeteque Hydration Moisturizer. Just want to share my thoughts about this affordable moisturizer which i bought from watsons.  To start of i'm really scouting for loreal's hydra gel  but unlucky me, it's already out of stock (sold out) So here, i found a replacement, without the "icy minty" effect of loreal,celeteque is also a good buy because first its way cheaper,second it doesn't give that oily finish like other moisturizer does(water base,oil free),It also sits on your face right away once you apply it.

This moisturizer is Paraben free,Oil free,Non comedogenic,hypo allergenic and fragrance free which i think is suitable for all skin types (well it also depends sometimes if you're too allergic to try new stuff might as well consult first a dermatologist.)

For the first two weeks of using it, i find it okay because some moisturizers when applied it's a bit sticky which makes me feel irritated but this one is not.

PROS & CONS :  After weeks of using it,feels like my skin got oily ( or maybe it is also because of the weather,summer or it's just im not used to it,depends on the one using it) I think this is much better for a really dry-oily skin because hydration is really good, product sits on your face right away which makes it matte (for oily skin) ,not sticky or greasy and makes your skin soft.

But all in all,i love this product and money wise, it is really affordable and a good thing to buy if you're looking for a effective and budget friendly moisturizer. Price is about PHP 100 +,Might as well try it.

Bad & Beautiful

Just want to share how my photo shoot goes with Photography Students from the College of St.Benilde. A close friend of mine texted me and asked me if i can do makeups for the finals of her girlfriend.

I did not confirm right away because i might do some errands that day but Luckily I'm available on the day that they need me. They fetch me at our house early in the morning and ended up late night and had some beer and couple of JCO Doughnuts, Since I'm a "cupcake whore" I requested for yummy cupcakes in exchange of my service since she's my close friend.

Basically the theme of the shoot is bad and beautiful and it's incorporated with elegant and beautiful necklace pieces. They gave me some makeup peg and I did my thing with the other looks.

I've got great models, Kudos to monica and richelle for doing a great job.These are the two of my favorite Innocence & Goth look, I think they go hand in hand.What I like about it is the photo itself and off course the makeup that I did .

On the innocent look of monica I did a very light, warm and simple look that you can also wear everyday.This is really a elegant looking necklace which makes it easy for me to do.

The other one is gothic , we actually did a couple of shot on this look to really get that angst and gothic looking photo.Oh well you can see that this is not wearable for everyone, It is quite okay for a night out (a little less of the black shadow and different shade of lippie) or better with a runway look.Did it with a matte black shadow and a plum lipstick to finish it off.

Really had fun this day, It's a very memorable day for me because i get to work with awesome and talented photographers.
